John Schellenberg
John Schellenberg has been a Motorsports enthusiast for as long as he can remember. His earliest interests began in professional rallying. As he entertained driving a rally car, he realized his lack of technical automotive knowledge at the time could very well leave him stranded and out of the competition in the event of mechanical failure “on stage” (Rally term). That led John to embark on a quest for education, knowledge and experience that has been wide and varied while helping him to build some impressive skills. Beginning with the Jim Russell Racing School, John learned to build, maintain and set-up racing cars. From there he further applied his skills with Florida based SpeedSource. There he worked in both SCCA Improved Touring and professional Grand Am programs.
In 2002, John was awarded Crew Chief of the Year for the Sports Touring I division. Moving on, John went to work for a private Grand Am team where he began to further hone has fabrication skills through building custom cars for customers and collectors.
John joined the team at Balanced Performance in early 2005 and has brought his experience and passion for Motorsports to many of our custom projects and racing endeavors.
John’s hobbies include Rallycrossong his own car, SCUBA diving, photography, and animal watching. Come meet John and let him get you set up to win. |
